I can't say enough good things about Prince Edward Island. I visited the first time with my daughter, who was 11 at the time. This was before the Confederation Bridge, so I had to find the ferry schedule without internet assistance. All you can eat lobster supper sounded like a great idea. It was in a church and not a restaurant so that was my exposure to religion for that calendar year. Claws and tails were separated but still in the shell. This was cold lobster with unlimited warm butter. I don't know if they still have those, but it was a unique experience and was only about $ 10 Canadian per person.
I always enjoy your column even though once in a while you go on a tangent that is bizarre such as your interest in people who come here illegally. Everyone here who is not native American is either an immigrant or descended from one. But after the early days, they came in accordance with laws and regulations passed by Congress and signed by presidents long ago. If you don't think that is right, how would you change the law and why are you not advocating for that? Americans have a right and obligation to assure that the people who come to our country are welcomed and invited. Just as anyone that comes into your home should be welcomed and invited. But you feel that if someone from another country comes and wants to move in with you, must be allowed to do that. We have a border like we have a house. Who comes in is our choice not the one demanding entrance and full use of all that is yours. It will be great to read your column about the illegals you took in.
